In general, how long eyebrow colour lasts will vary from person to person and is mainly related to skin type. People with oily skin can maintain their tattoo colour for 1-1.5 years, while customers with other skin types can usually maintain it for about 2 years.
No, semi-permanent eyebrow tattooing will not affect the growth of natural eyebrows.
- After the treatment, contact with water is ok but avoid shower gel, facial cleanser, and shampoo to prevent inflammation.
- Within the first three days of treatment, it’s best to use a wet cotton pad to press gently on the tattooed area (there will be secretions on the wound, which if not cleaned in time, will form a thick scab, absorb pigment, and affect the colour retention).
- Within the first seven days, you can gently press on the tattooed area to help improve colour retention. After scabbing, you can press more to soften the scabs and make them fall off faster.
- Avoid swimming and going to the sauna for the first three days after treatment. You can wash your face with water but avoid using facial cleansers (avoid face masks and all cosmetics on your eyebrows).
- You can use a cotton pad to wipe your face with water, but never rub, scratch, or pick at the scab, as it may affect colour retention.
- Within the first half a month, do not apply foundation or whitening skincare products over the eyebrows, as the colour will turn blue.
- After the first 3 days, you can use a face mask, but don’t cover the eyebrows. Cut the mask at the eye area and bridge of the nose.
- To prevent itching, avoid eating foods that you are allergic to.
